Jan Davidsz. De Heem was a Dutch painter. He only painted still lifes. Still life with flowers in a glass vase can be seen in the Rijksmuseum, and now on display at your own home.

His work is a kind of synthesis between the Dutch and Flemish traditions, and both his Dutch and Flemish colleagues have been influenced by him.
